Melina is a graduate from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy where she completed her Masters of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc). With four and a half years of intensive academic and hands on experience, Melina has practiced classical Osteopathy and is now a certified OOA (Ontario Osteopathic Association) member. She is equipped with an extensive educational background in biomechanics, along with functional anatomy, human physiology, and Osteopathic assessment and mechanical principles.
Melina discovered Osteopathy in 2016 while undergoing numerous sporting injuries. The treatments she received from a former graduate of the CAO were effective, non invasive, and successful in nature. Melina’s recovery sparked a desire to continue on this path, and inspired her to help others heal.
Melina is dedicated to providing excellent and curated treatments to each of her patients with the idea of aiding the body’s natural process of healing in a holistic manner. She aims to provide her patients with the best care possible and with a treatment plan that is catered and unique to each patient and their specific needs and lifestyle. With a continued desire to learn, Melina will never stop being a student of Osteopathy and aims to expand her knowledge while emphasizing the importance of finding the root cause of disease, oppose to treating symptoms. She is thrilled and eager to use her skills to help others heal themselves, and is proud to serve the Sarnia-Lambton Region with Classical Stillian Osteopathic Care.
